Today, I saw them—five delicate white dandelion puffs drifting across my path, each one a tiny messenger carried by the wind. Each one seemed to appear just as I paused, thinking about the life I am leaving behind and the one I am stepping into as I enter the retirement phase of my life.

There’s a quiet magic in these moments. Dandelion seeds, so fragile yet determined, float freely, letting the breeze carry them wherever it may. They remind us of the gentle art of surrender: to release what no longer serves us, to trust in unseen currents, and to step lightly into the unknown.
As I prepare for my upcoming journey back to Morocco and reflect on my return, these floating puffs feel like spiritual signposts along the threshold of my new chapter. They whisper of:
Hope and intention – Each seed carries a wish into the world. What intentions will I plant in this new life, nurtured by Wabi Sabi’s acceptance of imperfection and Morocco’s warmth?
Letting go – The seeds remind me that to make room for new growth, we must release the old. The life I leave behind is not lost; it becomes compost for the dreams I am about to sow.
Resilience and simplicity – Dandelions thrive in any soil, humble yet radiant. So too can I flourish, tending an elegantly simple life immersed in nature, cherished friendships, meaningful hobbies, slow living, and the quiet joy of building Wabi Sabi Maroc as a way of life rather than a task.
There is a deep spiritual clarity in watching a dandelion puff float. It tells me that life doesn't need to be tightly controlled to be beautiful. It unfolds naturally, one gentle drift at a time. And just as each seed finds its place to grow, I trust that I, too, will find mine.
So today, I celebrate the puffs - their quiet courage, their effortless grace - and the subtle message they carry. My new life awaits, delicate and free, ready to be lived with intention, wonder, and the gentle rhythm of simplicity.
