Living It v1.png

Living It

A philosophy doesn't become meaningful because we understand it. It becomes meaningful because, one ordinary moment at a time, we begin to live it.

Not perfectly.

Not all at once.

Just... a little differently than we did yesterday.

Sometimes living gently looks like making a cup of tea before moving on to the next thing.

Sometimes it looks like sitting in the garden for five minutes before picking up the shovel.

Sometimes it means repairing something instead of replacing it.

Sometimes it means letting your home reflect a life that's being lived instead of one that's being staged.

Sometimes it means asking for help.

Sometimes it means beginning again.

Living wabi-sabi doesn't ask us to add more to our already overwhelming to-do list.  It quietly transforms the way we experience the lives we're already living.

The kitchen becomes a place to care for ourselves and the people we love rather than another standard to live up to.

The garden becomes a teacher rather than another project.

Creative work becomes an expression rather than a comparison.

Home becomes a reflection of the people who live there rather than an image of perfection.

There are seasons when living gently feels natural.

There are seasons when we lose sight of what matters most.

There are seasons when everything seems to unravel.

Wabi Sabi Maroc isn't about getting those seasons "right."

It's about learning to meet each one with a little more grace than we did before.

You won't find a checklist here.

Or a perfect morning routine.

Or ten steps to becoming your best self.

You'll find small moments.

Quiet practices.

Stories.

Reflections.

Questions worth carrying.

And gentle reminders that ordinary life has always been enough to begin.

Perhaps living gently isn't something we accomplish.

Perhaps it's something we choose...

again...

and again...

and again.
